With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Melisse Millsaps (Hiddenite, North Carolina), born in Alexander, North Carolina, who passed away on March 30, 2025 at the age of 54. She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Baxter, Elizabeth Millsaps, William and Bernice Flowers. She is survived by: her parents, Jerry Millsaps and Ruby Flowers Millsaps; her children, Alisha Millsaps of Charlotte, Shakeia Millsaps of Statesville, Ta'Myra Millsaps of Statesville and Dominique Waddell of Statesville; her grandchildren, Ashiya Millsaps of Statesville, Zyriah Millsaps of Statesville, Zynia Bailey of Statesville, Ahkari Millsaps of Statesville, Zayvion Millsaps of Charlotte, Ava of Statesville, Ariana Robinson of Statesville, Raylen of Statesville and Raine Robinson of Statesville; and her siblings, Shervon Houpe (Robert) of Cleveland and Jerry Alonzo Millsaps (Kellin) of Taylorsville. She is also survived by uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the Zion Chapel AME Zion Church (81 Zion Chapel Rd, Hiddenite, NC 28636). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
