He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert John "Bob" Furey and Verna Maude Greene Furey; his siblings, Susan Furey Daniels, John Furey and Steven Paul Furey; and his nephew Burke Hinmen Webb.
He is survived by: his brother Rick Furey (Mary) of California; his brother-in-law Mutton Daniels of Taylorsville; his niece Carolyn Webb Brown (Chris Brown) of Troutman; and his close friend Mary Ann Crouch of Taylorsville.
