He was predeceased by: his mother Grace Jarvis Rupard; and his siblings, Ezekiel, Charles Rupard, Irene Padgette, Dorothy Baity and Linda Call.
He is survived by: his wife Norma B. Rupard; his daughters, Charmon Gwaltney of Union Grove and Chasta Shumaker (Gene) of Hiddenite; his stepson Mike Head (Kelly) of Taylorsville; his grandchildren, Solomon, Isaac Shumaker and Taylor Lawter; his stepgrandchildren, Nathan Head and Mikhayla Sipe; his stepgreat-grandson Samuel Sipe; and his sister Opal Rupard of Union Grove.
