He was predeceased by: his parents, Hanible Roberts and Ada Estep Roberts; his wife Carmella Allen; his siblings, Herman Roberts Sr., Ernest Roberts and Chloe Harman; and his nieces, Donna Marie Bowles and Donna Carol Roberts.
He is survived by: his children, Hanible Lee Roberts (Sandra) of Taylorsville, Pam R. Fox (David Root) of Taylorsville and Crystal Lyen Lackey (Shawn) of Taylorsville; his sister Kathy Williams (Jimmy); his grandchildren, Fox and Carmon Brown (Kyle) of Hickory; his great grandchild Holden Brown; and his cousin Teresa Johnson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
