He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter George McLain and Lois Eva Deal McLain; and his sisters, Luna McLain, Virginia McLain Stafford, Mary Evelyn McLain Bowman and Garnet McLain Smith.
He is survived by: his pet Rocky; his wife Linda Branson McLain; his children, Tammy Jill McLain Rouse of LaGrange, NC, Alan McLain (Tamara) of Hiddenite, Anthony McLain (Michelle) of Hiddenite, Stuart McLain (Sara) of Hiddenite and Rodney McLain of Amery, Wisconsin; his grandchildren, Brett, Bradley, Bryan, Michael, Aaron, Noah, Kylie, Paige, Dixie, Faith McLain, Graydon Nelson and Trevor Morse; his great grandchildren, Mason, Annaleah, Grayson, Ryan, Colton and Riley; and his sisters, Hilda McLain Bowman (Sam) of Taylorsville and Sue McLain Cook of Lenoir. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
