She was predeceased by: her parents, Thirlin G. Bennett and Mary James Bennett; her husband Everette R. Adams; and her children, Karen A. Blount, Anita A. Nichols, Bonita A. Taylor and Joseph A. Adams.
She is survived by: her children, Margaret Adams of Hiddenite, Ray-Nell A. Poole (John) of Hiddenite and James E. Adams; her grandchildren, Marilyn Adams, Etoyi Blount, William "Shawn" Blount and Robert Kendrick Blount; her sister Florence Wilson of Hiddenite; and her sister-in-law Willie Mae Bennett. She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.
