She was predeceased by: her parents, Jay Elder and Margaret Burke Elder; her husband Jinks Walter Stevenson; her sisters, Connie Nance and Muriel Montieth; and her grandson Billy "Bubba" Pierce.
She is survived by: her children, Sandy Hodge (Keith) of Hiddenite and Marty Stevenson (Sandra) of Hiddenite; her grandchildren, Johnny Hodge (Jasmine) and Jackie Bowman (Michael); her great grandchildren, Ashley Withers (Trey) and Emily Bowman; her brother Roger Elder of Taylorsville; and also Lloyd Jarvis. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the Bethel Baptist Church (2715 Bethel Church Rd, Taylorsville, NC 28681). A graveside service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
