It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Lee Buchanan of Hickory, North Carolina, who passed away on January 29, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Clate Buchanan and Lillian Buchanan; and his siblings, Edward Buchanan, Robert Buchanan, Cathy Buchanan and Julia Houston.

He is survived by: his wife Rachel Buchanan; and his children, Lisa Buchanan, Jeffrey Wright (Tammy), Jim Wright (Kay) and Donna Canipe (Rick). He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to one's favorite charity or to the family.
