As we bid adieu to Ted Murray's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in his wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Ted Murray has bequeathed us. For though he may have departed from our sight, his spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Yoder and Maynell Yoder. He is survived by: his significant other Catamounts; his sons, Kurt Yoder (Sidney Smith) and Trent Yoder (Elizabeth Cobb Yoder); his stepson Jason Austin (Erin Yoder Austin); his grandson Cooper Austin; and his sister Joyce Yoder Cockman.
In lieu of flowers, Ted would have preferred that his legacy be honored by continuing his fight for the causes he held dear. Please consider making a donation in his name to Act Blue, supporting the political causes Ted was so passionate about, or to the Western Carolina University Mountain Heritage Center, where his love for history and the WCU community can continue to inspire future generations.
