She was predeceased by: her husband James Roger Gibson; her son Christopher R. Gibson of Longwood; her brother Colin R.; and also John Douglas. She is survived by: her son James Scott Gibson (Vicki Crane Gibson) of Durham, NC; her grandchildren, James Matthew Gibson of Hillsborough, NC and Jordan Gibson Deans (Tyler) of Longwood, FL; and her great grandchild Luke Deans. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church - Hickory (339 2nd Ave NW, Hickory, NC 28601). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 1:45 PM at the Woodlawn Memorial Gardens (3120 Falling Creek Rd, Hickory, NC 28601).
