She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Phillips and Edythe Hensley Phillips; her husband Jack Edward McSwain; her children, Buddy Lenker and Amy Lenker; and her siblings, Alonzo Phillips, James Phillips, Ruth Phillips, Billie Jo Tempton, Nellie Cole, Carol Gladdin and Shirley "Polly" Wilson.
She is survived by: her children, Jackie McSwain Childers (Travis) of Taylorsville, Greg Lenker (Terry) of Kingsport, TN and Ed McSwain of Lincolnton; her grandchildren, Eddie, James, Nikki, Jodie, Jacinda and Trinity; and her great grandchildren, Alaric, Jaymz, Daylon, Arorra, Stevie and Jade.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the BURKE MORTUARY & CREMATORY-Newton-Conover Location (2516 N Main Ave, Newton, NC 28658). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Burke Mortuary Chapel (2516 N Main Ave, Newton, NC 28658).
