He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Larry W. Curtis and Virginia Carolyn Craig Curtis; his granddaughter Maranda Curtis; and his siblings, Lewis Waldell Curtis and Cynthia Diane Curtis.
He is survived by: his children, Mark Curtis (Amanda) of Hickory, Adam Curtis (Jennie) of Hudson, Chastity Curtis of Morganton and Jessica Benfield (Mark) of Sylva; his siblings, Larry "Timmy" Curtis (Jane) of Birmingham, UK, Jimmy Curtis (Trudy) of Hickory and Carolyn Lapole (Dennis) of Hickory; his grandchildren, Alex Womble, Chandler Womble, Hunter Womble, Malachi Curtis, Timmy Young, Calvin Curtis, Boston Curtis, Sophia Curtis, Samantha Benfield and Wyatt Benfield; and his great grandchildren, James Dean, Gracelynn, Billie, Brookelyn, Colton and Paislee. He is also survived by his kids, nephews, and now grandkids.
