She was predeceased by: her parents, Lonnie Smith and Mamie Hoyle Smith; her husband Aaron Shannon Cook; her children, Larry Shannon Cook and Debbie Elizabeth Stratton; and her grandson Brandon Alan Breckenridge.
She is survived by: her daughter Teresa Davidson (James) of Hickory; her granddaughters, Ashley Wimbish (Nick) of Taylorsville and Sara Portis (Chris) of Conover; her great grandchildren, Carly Wimbish, Mason Wimbish, Avery Portis and Wyatt Portis; her daughter-in-law Marguerite Cook of Hickory; her son Kyle Kinner (Rob King) of Washington, DC; her son-in-law Thomas Stratton of Hickory; and her brother Billy Ray Smith of Morganton.
