He is survived by: his wife Marty Vanderlinden Cotton; his sons, Joab Cotton, IV (Sara) of Lansing, MI and Josh Cotton (Ansley) of Stokesdale, NC; his siblings, Aileen Sneed (Mark) of Chesterfield, VA, Kathy Estridge of Jacksonville, NC and Joseph Cotton (Gayle) of Jacksonville, NC; his granddaughters, Serenity Grimes of Lansing, MI, Penelope Cotton of Lansing, MI and Juniper Cotton of Lansing, MI; his brother-in-law Harry Vanderlinden (Laura Shuford) of Hickory; and his pet Dee-Dee.
