He was predeceased by: his parents, J. D. Pitts and Mary Yount Pitts; his siblings, Peggy Pitts Cook, Bob, Carl, Mack, Dean, David and William; and his grandson Dallas Gragg.
He is survived by: his wife Jean Beal Pitts; his son Brian Keith Pitts (Glenda); his grandson Cody Gragg; his great grandchildren, Curtis Gragg, Travis Gragg and Abby Gragg; his sister Stella Pitts Stephens; his sister-in-law Jean Pitts of Arlington, MD; and his aunt Lois Yount Stine. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
