James David Cook Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James David Cook of Hickory, North Carolina, who passed away on December 9, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Nancy; his parents, Daniel Bryant Cook and Nellie Childers Cook Eckard; and his siblings, Daniel Cook and Judy Cook Bailey.
He is survived by: his children, Christy Lynn Cook (Woodie Sweat) of Charlotte, Eric David Cook (Anna) of Monroe and Martin Andrew Cook (Kelli) of Hickory; his grandchildren, Matthew David Cook (Hannah), Isaac Andrew Cook, Connor Michael Cook, Blake Andrew Cook and Sydney Anne Cook; his great grandchildren, Emma Elizabeth Cook and Avery Marie Cook; and his brother Benjamin Carroll Cook.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Luke's United Methodist Church (52 16th Ave NW, Hickory, NC 28601).
