With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Harold Frank Latta Jr. (Hickory, North Carolina), who passed away on November 21, 2024 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Frank Latta, Sr. and Pansy Edwards Latta; and his siblings, Lantham Latta, Maurine Smith and Wilma Blalock.
He is survived by: his wife Alice "Punchie" Hunsucker; his children, Harold III (Lydia) and Leslie Verner (Jon); his grandchildren, Courtney Latta Sosebee (Seth), Ryan Verner (Jessi), Katie Teel (Massey), Jeffrey Verner and Maggie Latta-Milord (Wilfrid); and his great grandchildren, Lilah, Dylan Latta Sosebee, Annabec, Jack Teel and Alè Milord. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Friday, November 29th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Bass-Smith Funeral Home Chapel (334 2nd St NW, Hickory, NC 28601).
