We are sad to announce that on December 2, 2022, at the age of 83, Gary Lavon Starr of Hickory, North Carolina, born in Catawba, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Starr and Ethel Starnes Starr; his wife Faye Hildebran Starr; and his siblings, Seth Starr and Wanda Clontz.
He is survived by: his children, Robin Annas (Phillip), Bart Starr and Gari Sue Pilgrim (Robert); his grandchildren, Stacy Marler (Jacob), Jacob Starr (Morgan) and Kayla Wright (John); his great grandchildren, Lennon Marler, Aspen Starr, Kamryn Collins, Karter Wright and Jade Wright; and his mother-in-law Inez Hildebran. He is also survived by numerous extended family, nieces, and nephews.
