He was predeceased by: his parents, Luico Byrd and Louise Howard Byrd; and his siblings, L. C. Byrd, Roger Byrd, Herman Byrd Sr., Rick Byrd and Jacqueline Byrd Brown.
He is survived by: his son Cedric Teague (Clorice) of Charlotte, NC.; and his sisters, Catherine Byrd of Atlanta, GA, Barbara Byrd of Hickory, NC and Frances Byrd of Hickory, NC..
