It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eva Mae (Fox) Abernethy of Hickory, North Carolina, who passed away on November 9, 2024, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Mack Fox and Mamie Martin Fox; and her husband Wyate Marcus Abernethy. She is survived by: her daughters, Carolyn Cline (Tim) of Newton, Teresa Harrow (Dennis) of Taylorsville and Nelda Miller (Bryan) of Conover; and her grandchildren, Erin Weaver (Joe) of Conover, Stacy Tucker, Keri Cline, Eric Hull of Clemmons, Kelley Tramble (Tyler) of Taylorsville, Travis Cline (Joyce) of Newton, Brett Cline of New York, Trey Miller (Hannah) of Kannapolis and Isaac Harrow (Rita) of Indian Trail. She is also survived by eleven great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 from 10:45 AM to 11:45 AM at the Providence Baptist Church (7614 Providence Church Rd, Hickory, NC 28602). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 at the Catawba Memorial Park (3060 US-70, Hickory, NC 28602).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Graceview Homes, 300 West J Street, Newton, NC 28658; or Providence Baptist Church, 7614 Providence Church Rd., Hickory, NC 28602.
