Emily Ann Braswell Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Emily Ann Braswell of Hickory, North Carolina, who passed away on February 1, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Emily Strohecker and Henry Strohecker; and her brothers-in-law, Bobby and Jack Braswell. She is survived by: her husband Jimmy Braswell of Hickory; her sons, Chris Braswell of Chattanooga and Rob Braswell (Angie) of Atlanta; her grandchildren, Parker and Charlie Braswell of Atlanta; and her brother Henry Strohecker (Sharon). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Bass-Smith Funeral Home - Jack Bass Memorial Building (334 2nd St NW, Hickory, NC 28601). A memorial service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Bass-Smith Funeral Home Chapel (334 2nd St NW, Hickory, NC 28601).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Multiple Myeloma Foundation in honor of Mrs. Braswell's courageous battle.
