He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Charles Rickert and Rachel Derstine Detweiler; his children, Gwen Zook (Darrell) of Harrisonburg, VA, Yvonne Martin (Mike) of Harrisonburg, VA, Melody Phelps (Robert), Glenn Detweiler (Carol) of Hickory, Dennis Detweiler (Cindy) of Hickory and Merlin Detweiler (Becky) of Hickory; his wife Miriam Alderfer Detweiler; and his daughter Claire Martin.
