She was predeceased by: her sister Shirley Parsons Carrier; and her sister-in-law Jane Bowman Parsons. She is survived by: her brother Randall Parsons of Hickory; her daughter Karen Havner Vernon (Bill) of Stanley; and her grandchildren, Crystal Barlowe Pippin (Stephen) of McDonough, Georgia, Terina Bolick (Teena) of Hickory, Zoey Herald, Hunter Herald of Claremont and Thomas Herald (Samantha) of Whitesville.
