He was predeceased by: his parents, Shuford Lingerfelt and Vernie Hull Lingerfelt; his wife Nancy Lingerfelt; his son Randy Lingerfelt; and his siblings, Inez Goings, Madeline Rockett, Vida Gettys, Russell Lingerfelt and Jack Lingerfelt.
He is survived by: his daughters, Michelle Cloninger (Bruce) of Conover and Scottie Houston (Shawn) of Bethlehem; his siblings, Linda Wilson of Conover and Jim Lingerfelt (Wanda) of Maiden; his grandchildren, Corey Lingerfelt, Jonathan Lingerfelt, Leigh Ann Zollo (Louis), Hunter Houston (Taylor), Cole Houston and Luke Houston; his great grandchildren, Karsyn Walker, Parker Lingerfelt and Jax Houston; and his close friend Mae Huffman.
