It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Donald Ervin Lingerfelt of Hickory, North Carolina, who passed away on January 18, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Shuford Lingerfelt and Vernie Hull Lingerfelt; his wife Nancy Lingerfelt; his son Randy Lingerfelt; and his siblings, Inez Goings, Madeline Rockett, Vida Gettys, Russell Lingerfelt and Jack Lingerfelt.
He is survived by: his daughters, Michelle Cloninger (Bruce) of Conover and Scottie Houston (Shawn) of Bethlehem; his siblings, Linda Wilson of Conover and Jim Lingerfelt (Wanda) of Maiden; his grandchildren, Corey Lingerfelt, Jonathan Lingerfelt, Leigh Ann Zollo (Louis), Hunter Houston (Taylor), Cole Houston and Luke Houston; his great grandchildren, Karsyn Walker, Parker Lingerfelt and Jax Houston; and his close friend Mae Huffman.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:45 PM at the Conover First Methodist Church (410 1st Ave N, Conover, NC 28613). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
