As Dianna Kay departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Dianna Kay may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Dianna Kay leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her father Dennis Hoover Watson of Grassy Creek, NC.; and her siblings, Danny Watson and Sandy Lehmann. She is survived by: her mother Jennie Ledford; her husband Sidney Franklin; and her children, Shon Franklin (Rani Holland), Regina Starnes (Mike Campbell) and Renae Frey (Brandon Frey). She is also survived by eight loving grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 30th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Catawba Funeral Home (3060 US Hwy 70 SE, Hickory, NC 28602). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, April 30th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Catawba County in Dianna's name.
