He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Smith Starnes; his son David Eric Starnes; and his sister Linda Brown.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 10th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the St. Peter's Lutheran Church (6175 St Peters Church Rd, Conover, NC 28613). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 10th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
