We are sad to announce that on June 2, 2024, at the age of 80, Carol Jean Dyer of Hickory, North Carolina, born in Jackson, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence L. Silence and Dorothy E. Silence (Higby); her brothers, James and Harry Silence; her grandson Austin J. Bauer; and her nephew James Silence (Jimmy).

She is survived by: her husband James M. Dyer; her daughters, Dawn Bauer (Rich), Wendi Hayes (Bryant) and Sheri Watts (Michael); her grandchildren, Travis Riggs, Adam Bauer, Rachel Watts, Daniel Hayes, Nathan Watts and Matthew Hayes; and her sister Nancy Nelson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Catawba County in Carol's name.
