He was predeceased by: his parents, Carlton Columbus Hooks and Inez Jones Hooks; and his brother Stephen Hooks. He is survived by: his children, Lisa Hooks Thompson (Stacey) and Christopher Carlton Hooks (Laura); his grandchildren, Cole Christopher Hooks, Austin Bradford Hooks, Juliana Elizabeth Hooks and Alison Grace Hooks; the mother of his children Elizabeth Bryden Amick; his brothers, Jimmy Hooks and Gary Hooks (Debbie); his niece Tina Griffin (Anthony); and his nephews, Rusty Hooks and Chad Hooks (Tina).
