It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Bobbie Jo Baker of Hickory, North Carolina, who passed away on February 16, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Alexander Sr. and Mamie Watts Helms; her husband Clyde Baker; her grandson Chase Lynn; and her sister Edith Brown.
She is survived by: her daughters, Connie Frye (Eugene), Stephanie Richards (Jeff) and Nicole Womack (Eric); her grandchildren, McKenna, Ian, Elijah, Riley and Crispin; and her siblings, Doris Self, Phyllis Bost (George) and William Alexander Helms Jr. (Sandy). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Catawba Funeral Home (3060 US Hwy 70 SE, Hickory, NC 28602).
