In the sacred silence of farewell, Billy Darrell is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Billy Darrell's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas M. Isom and Beulah Mae Isom; and his brothers, Charles, Kenneth Isom of High Point and Lee Roy Isom of Hickory.
He is survived by: his wife Diane Isom; and his sons, Billy D. Isom Jr. of Boone, NC and Michael Lance Isom (Stephanie) of Nebo, NC. He is also survived by five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Faith Olive Baptist Church (4113 Old Shelby Rd, Hickory, NC 28602). A memorial service was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to either St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Shriners Hospitals for Children.
