She was predeceased by: her parents, Aubrey Kennedy and Mozelle Kennedy (Kitchings); and her brother Hugh Houston. She is survived by: her son Stuart Wayne Smith; her husband Newton; her siblings-in-law, Anne Hoyle and Steve Hoyle; her nephew Jim Hipp (Lois); and her niece Kimberly Hipp.
