He is survived by: his brother Joe Abernethy (Jean) of Hickory; his nieces, Tina Abernethy Ball (Eric) of Hickory, Shelley Abernethy Millon (Jeff) of Alpharetta, GA and Miram Abernethy Young (Steven) of Hickory; his great-niece Macy Suzanne Millon of Alpharetta, GA; and his great-nephews, Miles David Millon of Alpharetta, GA and Henry Earl Young of Hickory.
