He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen Wilton Wood, Jr. and Jeanne Shiel Wood. He is survived by: his significant other Ken Wilkinson; his partner's son Trevor Martin; his former wife Cynthia Corriher Wood; his grandchildren, Thomas Creed Gilley III, Ryan Christopher Gilley and Jacob Benjamin Gilley; his siblings, David Shiel Wood (Judy) of Spartanburg, SC, Beth Wood Walters (Stuart) of Fayetteville, NC and John Mark Wood (Janet) of Haw River, NC.; his uncle Marion Wood (Jennie) of Southern Pines, NC; and also, Mark Corriher Wood of Hickory, NC and Anne Elizabeth Wood Gilley (Thomas Creed Gilley, Jr.). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Episcopal Church of the Ascension or the Humane Society of Catawba County.
