We are sad to announce that on February 20, 2025, at the age of 84, Willie Mae Butler Rose (Hertford, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester McGlenn and Annie Inez Hamm Butler; her husbands, Carl "Hoot" Rose and Donald Cook; and her siblings, Martha Jackson, Lenora Langley, Oscar and Ray Butler.
She is survived by: her children, Hope Rose Leicester (Matt) and Randy Harrell; her daughter-in-law Chelle Harrell; her brothers, Roy and Chester Butler; her grandchildren, Tucker Harrell (Chelsea), Morgan Wood (Calen) and Alyssa Leicester; and her great grandchild Wyatt Harrell.
Flowers are welcomed and will be accepted at her home or memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
