He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Arthur "Kit" Toney and Winnie Thompson Toney; and his sister Patsy Speca of Baltimore, MD. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Pyroth Toney; his sons, William H. Toney, Jr. (Katie) of Hertford and Carl Michael Toney (Sharon) of Manteo; his grandsons, William "Will" Toney, III (Aaren) and Matthew "Matt" Toney (Ashley); and his great grandchildren, Jordan, Garrett, Nathan, Eli, Madeleine and Oliver.
