She was predeceased by: her parents, Raleigh Edward and Donnie Mae Monds Ashley; her husband Benjamin Leon Harrell; and her siblings, Hope Twine and Roy Ashley.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sheila H. Onley (Aubrey) of Hertford and Donna Phelps (John) of Hertford; her siblings, Maybelle White of Hertford, Faye Twine of Tyner, R. E. Ashley of Edenton and Gerald Ashley of Edenton; her grandchildren, Ashley Hudson (Jacob), Lesley Phelps (Liliana), Michael Phelps, Ryan Onley (Payton) and Darin Onley (Jordyn); and her great grandchildren, Aiden and Lydia Hudson. She is also survived by her family and her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
