It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marylin Lowe Austin of Hertford, North Carolina, born in Nassau, New York, who passed away on January 30, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Herbert Lowe and Henrietta Peterson Lowe; her husband Gerald David Austin; her children, Julie Lin Bentley (Frank) of Thurmont, MD and Jeffrey T. Stitely (Heather) of Chatham, NJ; her stepsons, David Austin (John Beitner) of Los Angeles, CA and Dr. Gerald Austin, Jr. of San Jose, CA; her brothers, Bert Lowe of Baltimore, MD, Henry Lowe of Baltimore, MD and Harold Lowe of Sandy Spring, MD; and her grandchildren, Jessica, Josh Bentley, Emmet and Eamon Stitely.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hertford Baptist Church, PO Box 34, Hertford, NC 27944 and designated for the Organ Fund.
