He was predeceased by: his parents, Winfred Wright and Jessie Mae Pendergrass Wright; and his half-brother Winfred Riddick. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Simmons Wright; his daughters, Goldie Jean Forbes (David) of Nags Head and Sandra Lee Winslow (Tommy) of Hertford; his grandchildren, Brittany Jones (Paul), Lauren Forbes, Brett Forbes and Brandy Mann (Carter); and his great grandchildren, Rayd Jones, Blane Mann, Ella Mae Mann and Barron Forbes.
