It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Henry Carlton Elliott Sr. of Hertford, North Carolina, who passed away on July 25, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Matthew Henry Elliott and Katherine Whitehurst Charles; and his wife Ellen Fay Rogerson Elliott. He is survived by: his children, Henry Carlton Elliott, Jr. (Kris) of Midway, GA, Dennis Matthew Elliott (Shannon) of Belville and Dawn Elliott Rountree (Eugene, Jr.) of Hertford; his siblings, William Owens (Laura) of Lake Lure, Marian Mathews of Chesapeake, VA and Alice Faye Tillett (Allen) of Hope Mills; his grandchildren, Kelly Annis (Tony), Chrissa Bogush, Kristina Guillory, Travis Rountree (Juliea), Cameron Elliott (Samantha), Bailey Hall (Adam), Eric Rountree (Kelley) and Tyler Rountree (Allie); and his great grandchildren, Billy, Michael, Levi, June, Elliott, Amelia, Trevor, Taylor, Logan, Neil, Dietrich, Winton and Cornelia. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
