It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eloise Riddick Hollowell of Hertford, North Carolina, born in Gates, North Carolina, who passed away on October 6, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jake A. Riddick and Rosa Lee Ward Riddick; her husband Robert Perry Hollowell, Sr.; her siblings, Dolna Mae Proctor, Albert and Howard Riddick; and her son-in-law Randy Winslow, Sr..
She is survived by: her children, Dr. Robert P. "Bobby" Hollowell, Jr. (Donna) of Morrisville, Joyce E. Hollowell of Raleigh, Benita F. Hollowell of Walstonburg and Paige H. Winslow of Hillsborough; her grandchildren, Dr. Robert P. "Robby" Hollowell, III (Lauren A. Hollowell), Dr. Lauren H. Loeffler (Jon) and Randy Glenn Winslow, Jr.; her great grandchildren, Millicent Eloise Hollowell, Jacqueline Elise Hollowell, Blake Elijah Loeffler and Grant William Loeffler; and her siblings, Annie Marie Ward of Suffolk, VA, Carolyn Harris of Suffolk, VA and Fred Riddick of Sunbury. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 10th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Home (1125 Harvey Point Rd, Hertford, NC 27944). A burial was held on Thursday, October 10th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Cedarwood Cemetery.
