Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Carolyn Gay leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Julian Carson and Delsie Mae Whitehead Howell; and her sister-in-law Betty Howell. She is survived by: her brother Julian Willie Howell; her niece Jennifer H. Creech (Tim); and her nephews, Julian S. "J." Howell (April) and Jeffrey R. Howell (Terese). She is also survived by great-niece; six great-nephews; and other cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Whiteville Grove Baptist Church (373 Perrys Bridge Rd, Belvidere, NC 27919). A reception will be held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Fellowship Hall of the Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a church or charity of one's choice.
