She was predeceased by: her parents, George William Horton and Margot Nischwitz Horton; her husband Ronald Wayne Toms; and her sister Barbara Horton. She is survived by: her daughters, Leslie Scruggs of Henrietta and Sara Lynn Toms of Henrietta; her granddaughters, Katelynd P. Conner, Hannah C. Morgan and Emily M. Morgan; and her sister Margaret Jenkins of Bartow. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
