He is survived by: his family D. Wells; his nieces and nephews, James Lewis Wells (Sybil), Dr. James Franklin Wells, Jr. (Loretta), Steve Miller (Rita), Dr. Michael Miller (Beth), Mark Upchurch (Angie), Dr. Anna Hamrick (Dale) and Mary Margaret Ferguson (David); his sisters-in-law, Janet Turner and Patsy Rich; his close friends, Jim Doggett, Jason Duncan, Jason Burrell and Beate'Jenkins; and his pet Champ.
