He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Grady Ward Sr. and Katherine Harris Ward of Dana, NC.; and his brothers, Donald Grady Ward Sr. (Jack), James Edward Ward, William Arthur Ward Sr. (Bill), Carroll Fredrick Ward Sr. (Bud), Lawrence Greggory Ward Sr. and Elmer Dean Ward.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth "Jean" Ward; his children, Julie Quinn (Jackie), Tammie Cox (Tommy) and Richie Ward (Debbie); his grandchildren, Jared Quinn (Krystalyn), Hope Quinn (Matthew Bodenhamer), Samantha Bolton (Stephen) and Thomas Ward III; his great grandchildren, Anatasia Quinn and Laurel Bodenhamer; his sisters, Frances Gosnell, Elizabeth Ann Worth (Robert) and Karen Clark (Lamar); his sister-in-law Laura Ward; and his brothers, Wendell Eugene Ward and James Edwin Ward (Lorraine). He is also survived by four grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
