It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Melvin Pruitt (Hendersonville, North Carolina), born in Danville, Virginia, who passed away on January 16, 2022, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Bentley Pruitt Sr. and Esther Serena Hill Pruitt; and his siblings, John Bentley Pruitt Jr., Raymond Nelson Pruitt and Josephine Clay Harris (Pruitt).
He is survived by: his wife Linda Dove Pruitt; his children, Carol Ann Brown (Sean) and Jeffrey Thomas Pruitt (Donna); his grandchildren, Maria Harwood (David), Kendra Rhinehart (Tucker), Megan Hackney, Ella Pruitt, Logan Pruitt and Allie Pruitt; and his great grandchildren, Finley Harwood, Brylon Burke, Adriana Garren (AJ), Charlie Rhinehart (Jack), Tomi Layne Rhinehart, Harper Faircloth and Greyson Hackney. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
The family requests that the use of masks and social distancing be observed for the service.
