We are sad to announce that on November 10, 2024, at the age of 93, Stephen Charles Messer (Hendersonville, North Carolina), born in Chicago, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Steven Messer and Margaret Messer; his wife Carol Messer; and his sisters, Margaret Sobol, Dorothy Gadbois and Louise Lee.

He is survived by: his daughters, Susan Messer and Kim Fumagalli (Lawrence); and his grandsons, Stephen Fumagalli (Victoria), Aidan Fumagalli and Joshua Fumagalli. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home (538 Tracy Grove Rd, Hendersonville, NC 28792).

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Living Hope Community Church, 1821 Windsor Drive, Hendersonville, North Carolina 28791 or Four Seasons Compassion for Life – Elizabeth House, 581 South Allen Road, Flat Rock, North Carolina 28731.

Going with your Mom and both of you to pick him up from the train station, all the trips to Michigan to visit your Grandfather Messer, going and picking blueberries, and stopping at the bakery on the way to see you Grandfather.
