She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Ackerbaum and Nancy Halpern; her husband Ronald J. Portugal; and her brother Dr. Ronald J. Ackerbaum. She is survived by: her sons, David Portugal (Elaina) of Etowah and Howard Portugal (Suzi) of Toms River, NJ; her grandchildren, Jacob, Maximus, Cameron, Jacqueline, Matthew, Rebecca, Morgan and Dylan; her great grandchildren, Payton, Logan and James; her sister-in-law Vivian Ackerbaum; and her nephew Steven Adelman (Linda).
