She was predeceased by: her parents, Hewil Crawford Briscoe and Susie Steward Briscoe; her siblings, Hewil Briscoe, Leon Brisoce, Louise White, Mildred Rooks, Betty Peeples, Mattie Smith and Lena Hudgins; her former husband Douglas Gene Bryant; her son Terry Gene Bryant; and her husband James D. Lewis.
She is survived by: her sister Faye Caldwell; her children, Judi Chissus (Steve) of Waterford, MI, John Bryant (Regina) of Tryon, NC, Rosemary Bunn (Bobby) of Milner, GA, Regi Plemmons of Hendersonville, NC and Janesta Walker (Luther) of Hagerstown, MD; and her stepchildren, Gary Lewis and Linda Osteen. She is also survived by Eleven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
