He was predeceased by: his parents, Mac Darnell and Louise Bradley Darnell; and his siblings, Linda McCall, Nancy Gibbs, Mary Ann Darnell and John Darnell.
He is survived by: his wife Emily; his sons, Rusty (Stephanie) and Phillip (Lisa); his grandchildren, Stephen (Rachel), William (Rebecca), Patrick (Courtney), Peyton, Carlie Floyd (Sabrina) and Benjamin Floyd (Kelsey); and his great grandchildren, Audrey, Allie, Mason, Lilly, Wrenley, Charlton, Aidan, Christian and Avery. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers are: Donnie Heatherly, Russ Branche, Robbie Crain, and the Deacons of Balfour Baptist Church, In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Balfour Baptist Church, Hendersonville, NC.
