It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Barnwell Jones Bene (Hendersonville, North Carolina), born in Henderson, North Carolina, who passed away on May 9, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her former husband Charles Jones; and her siblings, Lawrence Barnwell, Virginia Redick and Blanche Peek. She is survived by: her husband Imre Bene; her children, Benny Jones, Denise Youngblood (Benny), Dawn Creasman (Bob) and Gabby Hamza; and her brother David Barnwell (Jane). She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Four Seasons Hospice Elizabeth House, 571 South Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731.
